Weather had been so lovely, it was really hot and the kids had a whole week of holidays. I then heard on the radio that the weather was supposed to turn sour, so I drove home from work at around 1, packed a bunch of picnic stuff and headed to the lake with the rotters. It was so hot that our little chocolate cakes melted in a matter of minutes. Jason made rocks bounce on the lake and Mandy went off to chase a dog. Since I work 5 min. away from the lake, I took the kids to see my office and where I work. In the production area, they were shown how they make the gold embossing on the binders and books we sell(with REAL gold much to Jason's delight) as well as the oversized cutting machine which has a 1,2 meter long blade. On the drive home, it occurrs to Mandy that she is invited to a birthday party, so off we rush to get a gift and drop her off. The picnic was all the more special when the next day it poured rain and hasn't stopped since. Their one week of Easter holiday is ending today on Sunday, yet the sun is coming back out again as well.
I noticed that the kids have grown out their pants again, seems like I JUST bought them clothes...but I guess that's just the way it is.
Tom's birthday is coming up next week and Jason's shortly after. Things will be fun and I hope not to forget my camera as often (or to charge my phone) so that I can take pictures.
Spring is just the best time of the year!
